Construction Engineering Management
The Construction Engineering Management (CEM) degree is a four-year sandwich programme (UCAS Course Code K291).
Students are sponsored by a building or civil engineering contractor, and spend time working for their sponsoring contractor on placement. Students also receive bursaries from their sponsors whilst at university.
The CEM programme includes a one-week residential site surveying course and an outdoor pursuits based management course. The programme enables students to gain additional qualifications including a Diploma in Industrial Studies.
Students can also apply for the exchange programme, where they would have the opportunity to study at Hong Kong University for one semester.
The CEM programme is fully accredited by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB). The course introduces students to the CIOB's professional development competencies as part of the work placement, thus preparing students for the professional interview.
